The Willamette Mission Park features sixteen miles of trails as well as camp sites, the nation’s largest black cottonwood tree, and the Willamette Valley’s first mission site for Native Americans in the west. Approximately fifteen minutes south of Amity is the Baskett Slough National Wildlife Refuge, a 2,492 acre refuge that aims to reduce geese crop damage to private agricultural land and allows public access through seasonal trails.
